Actually, there are 7 different poses representing the 7 days of the week. Each of them has a certain significance and represents different character traits.

The different postures of Buddha statues and their meanings

Each of them represents a day of the week, and you should respect the statue representing the day of your birth.

If you have visited a temple (or "Wat") in Thailand, you may have noticed that Buddha appears there in standing, sitting, or reclining positions. In some temples, you will even see seven (sometimes eight) Buddha statues lined up next to each other, often with a donation bowl in front of them.

What does this mean? Many people see these images without really knowing what they mean or what they are for.

There are of course many more than seven Buddha postures, and during our research, we found different versions and explanations. Here's a summary:

1. Buddha of Sunday - Pang Thawai Net
